NIKE Foundational Design System Pilot

 

Speaking a global language through detail-rich footwear photography of Nike’s top seasonal styles.

The Ask: Build a scalable design system to drive seasonal print and digital asset creation for Nike’s Foundational lines of footwear bought across the geos.

The Idea: Combine a stylized collection of angles with understated design to let the product’s presence speak for itself.

My Role: Creative producer.

Start with All the Angles

The Nike Global Brand Design Digital Studio built a deep menu of replicable photography angles and framing combinations to power the layouts, then customized shot lists for each product line to capture key details and styling.

Add Stacked Focus and Packed Product Shelves

We brought on Splash Worldwide’s Portland, Oregon studio to lead the execution of stacked focus photography and retouching to bring out eye-popping detail for dozens of styles and hundreds of selects.

Bake to Perfection

Nike’s Global Brand Design Digital Studio then applied the Foundational design system to craft the full set of layouts and deliver final assets with overviews and guidelines to geographies for customization.
